KPLA, originally licensed to Riverbank, CA, came on the air on March 2, 1993 from studios and transmitter located on Cleveland Ave. just north of Oakdale, CA. The station was later sold to Kiertron, Inc. of Pennsylvania dba as Crawford Broadcasting Company and the call letters changes to KCBC. In January 2010 the station city of license was changed to Manteca, CA.
KCBC operating with 50,000 daytime and 1,000 at night on 770 KHz. The station filed a petition with the FCC in 2009 to modify it's night time coverage area and increase it's night time power to 4,100 watts.
