MJC's New Radio and TV Studios Open House
MJC alumnus and Broadway legend Carol Channing and movie star Jeremy Renner  were on hand Saturday August 23, 2008 to  celebrate the opening of Modesto Junior College's expanded auditorium complex which include  the new radio and TV studios.   

Now known as the Performing and Media Arts Center, the auditorium complex underwent a $33 million expansion and renovation. The 54,000-square-foot facility features an overhauled 820-seat main auditorium and a 74-seat little theater.

NOTICE:  The radio broadcasting teaching program was shut down in 2012, however, the MJC radio station still streams music via the internet.     The MJC Pirate's music website is located here.   The MJC class that supported the station has been eliminated in budget cuts at Modesto Junior College effective 2012.
