Thank-you! What a fasinating website! I was really cool to find my grandma's song available to hear; Wait a Little Longer Please Jesus by Hazel Houser. Thank-you again for keeping the music alive!

Though not actually Modesto, Stockton Radio Station, KSTN-1420 went off the air forever on February 19, 2010 at 6:18pm, while KSTN-FM 107.3 went off the air later that evening at Midnight however while KSTN-1420 will remain dark, KSTN-FM 107.3 will sign back on the air on Monday with K-Love Contemporary Christian Music. Definately an end of an era! :!cry:

So sad to hear of Bob Mohr's passing. As a Modesto Junior College radio student in the late 60s, I first met Bob at Modesto A's games. He was one of a kind and always willing to give advice to future radio people. He would invite me to sit in with him on occasion at the ballpark and I remember being scared to death to speak.
He was so easy going and I am so proud to have called him a friend. He will be missed.

Good morning all. Not a radio buff per se but learned of Bob's passing and wanted to express my sympathies to Marcia and the girls. Practically grew up in his house and know first hand what a genuinely good man he was. I went on a tour of a radio station he worked for back in the mid 70's with our class from C. Everett Elementary school and he gave out 45's, mine was Bless the Beasts and the Children - I still have it. Thought he was a superstar then and still do. Much Love to you all.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Bob Mohr. Bob was a one of a kind and I have such fond memories of my 5 years at KBEE and Bobs friendship and guidance. He helped me transition from on the air to sales!! And when it got down to his real love SPORTS--Bob was at his best--Used to drive him crazy I was a die hard Dodger fan!! Remember many fun office partys and functions--There were a couple at Bobs house. Anyway will miss ya BOB-the Mohr on sports show, and your sgnature line---think it went "you don't have to be a sport to play one"

I learned today of the passing of Bob Mohr, one of Modesto Radio's all-time really great people. Bob's career in the market bridged two or three generations. The man always had a smile on his face and a heart full of kindness. I had the pleasure of working with Bob in the early 80's at McClatchy's KBEE AM/FM. He enjoyed broadcasting sports, and was a real pro at it. But his true talent was in sales. He was the ultimate pro, a real gentleman, and about as honest as they came. He loved his work and his clients loved and trusted in him for oh so many years. He truly cared and was always there to help. He had a few years on many of us that worked with him, and he would refer to himself as, "your old dad". My heart goes out to Marcia and his family. I will truly miss you, my old dad.

Respectfully, Bob Neutzling
