Cecil Lynch, Broadcast Radio Pioneer

Cecil Lynch is a longtime member of the broadcast radio community in Modesto and surrounding areas.  He started his career in commercial broadcasting in July of 1933 when he was hired by Bill Bates as an announcer at KTRB which had just signed on the air on June 18, 1933.  Cecil later went on to be a successful career as a consulting engineer involved with putting several stations on the air including KTUR in Turlock,  KBOX, Modesto and KLOC in Ceres.   Cecil, now in his 90's,  is retired and living happily on his west Modesto ranch.   He is a valued board member of the Modesto Radio Museum Foundation.
