A very dear Soul has left her family and friends, "Charline Jackson Freedman" departed September 19, 2011 at Doctor's Hospital in Modesto. Charline's activities, in the years of her life, were passionate and lovingly practiced.

Daughter of the late Charlie H. & Pauline Jackson, Charline was a lifetime Modesto citizen and community contributor.  She has awards and accolades of superb theatre work in directing, acting and teaching throughout Stanislaus and Calaveras counties, plus sending actors into Hollywood fame.

All persons whom gained her association always appreciated her joyful and frank candor, she loved people and people loved her. So much may be said about Charline's accomplishments,  Modesto High graduate in 1952, a BA from Stanislaus State in Psychology/Sociology.  Teaching degree, also a Reverend, plus an Instructor at Modesto Junior College.  She taught theatre classes part-time at MJC for many years.

She acted in a play called American Pie with Academy Award nominated actor Jeremy Renner when he was a student at MJC.  She also was copy writer for KTRB just out of high school in 1952.  She talked about her time at KTRB in a video interview with the late Cal Purviance, of the Modesto Radio Museum, in September 2004. The list can go on, though her personal victories came second to her joys in assisting , directing and helping others achieve their own personal best.
