Radio commentator John Harry Katz dies At 70

Conservative radio talk show host John Katz, 70, died of natural causes March 10, 2006 at the Manteca Kaiser foundation Hospital. Mr. Katz was a lifetime member of the ultraconservative John Birch Society and a resident of Modesto. For more than 40 years he hosted" One Man's View of Americanism" 10 of those years on Riverbank station KCBC  plus several years on KTRB in the 80s.

Katz was a native of Sacramento where he had his own advertising agency. He was a veteran having served three years in the Army.
Katz is survived by his children Ken of Idaho, Cam and Christopher Katz both the Modesto and Curtis Katz of Thousand Oaks.   He also leaves his brother Ellis in Sacramento, sister Sue Biancalana of Mill Valley and six grandchildren.

Services were conducted at the Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.
