Retired Broadcaster "Judd" Sturtevant Dies
A. Judson "Judd" Sturtevant, a retired California broadcaster and part-owner of several radio stations.  including KFIV in Modesto,  died April 2, 1996 at English Oaks Convalescent Hospital in Modesto.  He was 80.

Mr. Sturtevant was a native of Oakland and lived in Hughson for 43 years. He was active in numerous community efforts and was one of the founders of the Hughson Youth Center. In the 1950s, he also worked toward changing the curriculum of Modesto Junior College's agricultural program.

Along with his wife, Margaret, he was a world-wide traveler, going to such places as China, India, Malaysia, New Guinea and West Africa. In addition to his wife, Mr. Sturtevant is survived by three sons, two daughters and numerous other relatives.  A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home, with Burial at Lakewood Memorial Park.
