Former KBEE Manager Dies At 61

Roy Dale Swanson, former general manager of KBEE AM/FM Radio, died October 11, 1980 at a Modesto hospital following a lengthy illness. Mr. Swanson, a native of Minnesota, had lived in the Central Valley for the past 30 years and had been employed for a number of years for McClatchy Broadcasting.  He also worked at KOSO Radio for two years.    A Marine Corps veteran in World War II,  Mr. Swanson was a member of the International Order of Moose and the American Legion.     He is survived by his wife, Signe Swanson, and his mother, Esther Nelson, both of Modesto.
